Farsight Vision Raises €7.2M Seed Round to Accelerate AI-Driven Decision-Making in Defence

Copenhagen, Denmark – 11 February 2026 – Ukrainian-Estonian startup Farsight Vision, whose AI-driven intelligence tools are widely used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has successfully closed a €7.2 million Seed round. The round was led by public safety technology leader Axon Enterprise and Estonia's state-backed SmartCap Defence Fund, alongside leading European defence investors including Poland's Radix Ventures, Switzerland's Anker Capital, Ukraine's Resist UA, Denmark's Final Frontier, and Estonia's Darkstar — a returning investor that previously backed the company with €600,000 in September 2024.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Viktoriia Yaremchuk and CTO Volodymyr Nepiuk, Farsight Vision was created to meet real operational needs in Ukraine. What began as frontline mapping tools has evolved into a geospatial intelligence platform that supports unmanned systems and battle robotics with continuously updated terrain and situational awareness. The company's technology is used by more than 100 units of Ukraine's defence and security forces.

Over the past months, Farsight Vision has expanded rapidly — forming partnerships across several NATO countries in Europe and securing its first commercial deal in Asia.

"This investment marks an important milestone not only for our company," said Viktoriia Yaremchuk, CEO and Co-founder of Farsight Vision. "It also strengthens the global presence of Ukrainian defence innovation and opens new paths to long-term international partnerships."

Building the Spatial Foundation for Human-Robot Collaboration

Farsight Vision builds software that fuses real-time data from the field and unmanned systems into continuously updated 3D situational awareness for operators. The platform is designed to support mission planning and execution for unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned ground vehicles, including in environments where satellite navigation is unreliable or denied. The system provides a valuable alternative to static satellite-derived intelligence layers and serves as the integration layer ("glue") for planning and executing collaborative UAV/UGV missions for defenders in Ukraine and for international defence partners.

The company's product suite includes tools that process drone imagery and video into detailed 3D models and orthophotos, with integrated object detection and anomaly tracking — even in GNSS-denied environments. Its solutions are integrated with battle management systems, mobile applications, simulators, and VR tools, allowing operators to plan, monitor, and coordinate missions across platforms.

The team aims to combine its product portfolio into a system-level solution that enables autonomous decision-making at every stage of combat drone missions — from reconnaissance flights and target generation with coordinates, to rapid transfer of targets to loitering munitions, and navigation of strike platforms through the "last mile."

"Our goal is to create a continuously updated world model that both people and robots can rely on to understand terrain, infrastructure, and change. Farsight Vision is becoming the spatial foundation for how humans and robots operate together in the real world."

From Software to Full-Stack Autonomy

A significant development for the company is the move into proprietary hardware. Until now, Farsight Vision has focused primarily on software. The team is already testing several in-house modules, and the seed funding will accelerate this hardware development alongside global talent recruitment — often sourcing highly specialised experts internationally.

The funds will be used to:

  • Automate defence robotic systems for logistics, navigation, and weapon control

  • Validate automation through integrations with UAV/UGV manufacturers and battle management systems, providing the base capabilities for robotic operations

  • Accelerate electronic warfare capabilities for battlefield and critical infrastructure protection

  • Build global partnerships for doctrinal changes in defence frameworks

"Farsight Vision has built the situational awareness layer that both soldiers and autonomous systems need to operate — and it has been battle-proven across more than a hundred Ukrainian units. We are proud to back Viktoriia, Volodymyr, and their team as they scale this critical capability to NATO partners across Europe."

Strategic Backing from Global Leaders

Axon Enterprise, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, is listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange with a market capitalisation exceeding $35 billion. The company develops hardware and software technology solutions for police and special forces, with core products including tasers, bodycams, and software for public safety management. In recent years, Axon has also shown growing interest in defence-focused developments. Axon representatives visited Ukraine in the summer of 2025 and met with local defence tech startups — Farsight Vision was among them and was the only software-focused startup participating.

"Farsight Vision is building decision-making systems in one of the most demanding environments in the world. When technology is shaped by real operational use, it evolves faster and with more clarity. We're excited to support a team whose work in Ukraine is generating insights that can improve how people and autonomous systems operate together globally."

Rick Smith, Founder and CEO, Axon

Estonia is investing €2 million in Farsight Vision through the SmartCap National Defence Fund, enabling the company to develop its product in Estonia and expand into foreign markets. The company sees Estonia as a key hub for developing high technology, defence expertise, and international cooperation. The team has already been joined by former Estonian Air Force Commander, Brigadier General Jaak Tarien.

"Farsight Vision is an example of a company where technology born from a real need is becoming an international dual-use solution for civil and military applications, enabling autonomous systems to be used from threat identification to threat neutralization. For Estonia, this means new technological capabilities and talent in the defence sector, as well as a stronger link between our defence and technology ecosystems."

Sille Pettai, CEO, SmartCap

According to Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Industry Erkki Keldo: "The defence industry will become Estonia's new strength, and investments made through the National Defence Fund in companies strengthening Estonia's defence capabilities will contribute to this. The investment made in Farsight Vision will bring new skills and high-value-added defence technology development to Estonia, and create high-paying jobs for top specialists."

A Bridge Between Ukraine and Europe

Farsight Vision serves as a bridge between two countries facing the same threat, contributing to closer cooperation in defence technology and strengthening Europe's eastern flank. The company is growing in Estonia, with teams expanding across both countries — combining operational experience with advanced technology and a shared understanding of modern security challenges. Priority markets for international expansion include the Baltic states, Scandinavia, Germany, and the United Kingdom, with plans to announce partnerships with European drone manufacturers and launch trials with the armed forces of multiple countries.

"Ukraine has emerged as a global leader in the application of artificial intelligence to defence technologies. The investment in Farsight Vision illustrates how Ukrainian startups formed in response to wartime challenges are evolving into global players, contributing to new approaches to defence and strengthening the security of partners worldwide."

Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine

The round comes amid rising private investment in Ukrainian defence technology. Private capital flowing into Ukrainian defence companies increased from $5 million in 2023 to more than $40 million in 2024 and $105 million in 2025, according to data from Brave1, Ukraine's defence tech initiative.

Farsight Vision has previously received support from the Defence Round of Estonia's Applied Research Program (RUP) together with CrystalSpace for a total of $1.5 million, and was also one of 14 companies that won €193,000 from the Defence Industry Development Projects Round of the Estonian Ministry of Defence.
